MYLAPS RC4 Pro Direct-Powered Personal Transponder

Record accurate lap times while keeping weight and installation space to a minimum with the MYLAPS RC4 Pro Personal Transponder. Designed for competitive RC racing, this compact transponder is 25% smaller than the standard RC4 model and weighs only 3 grams including its holder.

The RC4 Pro connects directly to a spare receiver channel using its standard servo plug, so there is no separate battery to charge. Its short 80mm lead helps provide a neat installation in RC cars where space is limited.

Each transponder has a unique seven-digit identification number that allows compatible MYLAPS RC4 timing equipment to identify the vehicle and record its laps. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor RC racing, including applications exposed to dirt, mud and vibration.

Compact Pro Design

Measuring approximately 15.7 × 18 × 4.5mm, the RC4 Pro is ideal for lightweight competition vehicles and tightly packaged chassis. Its reduced dimensions and short cable make it easier to position the transponder correctly without adding unnecessary wiring or weight.

Despite its compact design, the RC4 Pro supports detection at speeds up to 120km/h when installed correctly with compatible timing equipment.

Installation

Connect the transponder to an available receiver channel, typically channel three or four. Install the supplied holder securely inside the vehicle and keep the transponder no more than 150mm above the track surface.

For dependable detection, position the transponder away from carbon fibre, metal chassis plates and other materials that could obstruct its signal. Follow the timing system or track operator’s mounting requirements where provided.

Timing-System Compatibility

The RC4 Pro is compatible with:

• All RC4 firmware versions

It is not designed for older AMBrc, RC2 or RC3 timing systems. Racers requiring compatibility across older and newer MYLAPS systems should use a compatible MYLAPS RC4 Hybrid Transponder instead.
