The Ballistic 550s are so powerful because of their extra long stator and rotor magnet. In fact, the stator and rotor magnet are twice the length of 540-sized motors, giving them twice the torque of an equivalent 540 motor. The more torque, the more power that is generated! Additionally, these larger-sized motors run cooler and more efficiently than their 540 counterparts. These high-powered machines easily install into OFNA's&reg; Hyper 10 SC Pro 4x4 Kit&trade;, OFNA's&reg; Jammin' SCRT 10 4X4 Kit&trade;, Traxxas'&reg; Slash&trade; 4X4 Short Course Trucks, Traxxas'&reg; Stampede&trade; 4X4 VXL Short Course Trucks&trade; and many other 1/10-scale short course trucks.</p> <p><span class="description_subtitle">BIGGER IS BETTER</span><br />Not all 550 motors are equivalent in size. With their extra-long stator and rotor magnet, Novak's Ballistic 550s are the longest in the industry, providing more torque and performance for power-hungry 4x4 short course and off-road vehicles. There is no replacement for displacement!</p> <p>In addition to low-speed driveability and no cogging, the Ballistic 550s are also fitted with rugged 5mm output shafts for maximum resilience and race life. Additionally, the motors are sensor-based for a smooth and controlled power delivery.</p> <p><span class="description_subtitle">BALLISTIC MEANS VERSATILITY</span><br />And like the Ballistic name implies, these motors are completely rebuildable and feature interchangeable wound stator construction. A simple stator swap allows for easier experimentation at the track and cuts down on racing costs.   • <p>7.5 BALLISTIC RACING BRUSHLESS</p> <p><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">The Ballistic Brushless Motor series &ndash; which consists of six different motor turns: 3.5T - 9.5T (#3603 - #3609) &ndash; is the result of many years of developing and manufacturing sensored brushless motors, and includes many new features to prove it. This next-generation motor series contains a new,&nbsp;<strong>easy-to-adjust timing assembly</strong>&nbsp;that alters the RPM range, and includes&nbsp;<strong>heavy-duty solder tabs</strong>&nbsp;that are strong enough to endure repeated soldering and tough crashes. These sensored motors also sport a newly designed exterior with sleek, black end bells and a reconfigured rear end bell that fits more easily into racing vehicles. And like all Novak racing motors, these brushless motors are blisteringly fast, reaching speeds that will effortlessly satisfy any racer or basher.</span></p> <p><strong><span style="color: #4b0082; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">BRUSHLESS MOTOR ADVANCEMENTS</span></strong><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;"><br />But the innovations don&rsquo;t end there. The Ballistic motors&rsquo; original design defines versatility by featuring&nbsp;<strong>interchangeable wound stator construction</strong>. By unscrewing the main screws, the motors&rsquo; solder tab and sensor assemblies can be easily removed to leave only the stator, which can be replaced with additional motor wind options. Moreover, the sensor assembly can be replaced if needed upon crash or unknown damage. The Ballistic motors also boast a&nbsp;<strong>removable shielded sensor harness</strong>. To account for different size vehicles, Novak&rsquo;s removable sensor harness comes in three different lengths &ndash; 9&rdquo;, 6&rdquo; and 4&rdquo; &ndash; allowing for multiple installation options. The motor is also equipped with a custom-silicone gasket seal to keep dirt and debris from damaging the motor&rsquo;s sensor plug.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">Each Ballistic motor is also equipped with a&nbsp;<strong>12.3mm</strong>&nbsp;<strong>nickel-plated sintered Neodymium rotor</strong>&nbsp;for maximum motor acceleration, braking power and performance in high-temperature conditions, and&nbsp;<strong>Thermal Overload&nbsp;</strong>technology to ensure the motor is operating at a safe temperature. The Ballistic Brushless Motor 8.5T (#3608) and 9.5T (#3609) are also compatible with the Havoc 3S Brushless/Brush ESC (#1733). This next-generation motor series contains a new,&nbsp;<strong>easy-to-adjust timing assembly</strong>&nbsp;that alters the RPM range, and includes&nbsp;<strong>heavy-duty solder tabs</strong>&nbsp;that are strong enough to endure repeated soldering and tough crashes. These sensored motors also sport a newly designed exterior with sleek, black end bells and a reconfigured rear end bell that fits more easily into racing vehicles. Novak&rsquo;s Ballistic 8 rotor sets itself apart from the other brands in that it is drill balanced, which removes material. The fact that no epoxy weights are added to the rotor means trouble-free operation since it is virtually impossible for your motor to become out of balance. For further reliability, Novak uses four, high-strength Neodymium magnetic segments. These segments are secured not only with high-strength epoxy, but are also precisely located with machined guides that are keyed to the shaft to ensure exact magnetic alignment and prevent the magnets from slipping on the shaft.
